Happy New Year!
We are spending the day quietly as most things are closed. We did manage to arrange a Batik class (more in a separate post) later in the day, but in the morning we went to one of the beach resorts with a pool and paid to hang out. 
As you can see the water, rocks, and waves are treacherous in this part of the beach, so it's "look but don't touch". We made do with the poolside lunch service and chaise lounge chairs!XO
